My motivation

Dear reader

I am Ezra, a student at Howest - Digital Arts and Entertainment who studies independent game production and future indie-developer. Here, I have been refining and learning many skills that make me able to reach the goals and dreams I have. Be it programming, artistic work or financing and marketing, I know my way around it.

My passion for creating games mainly comes from the fact that they are an exceptionally powerful way to create a world where people can enjoy themselves and be whoever they want to be. The number of communities that have been created due to games are also a showcase of how games can be used to bring people together and deliver messages that wouldn’t be possible in any other way. The unison and collective enjoyment that they bring is something I aspire to be able to recreate.

Gaming has also been a part of my life for a long time. I have always enjoyed the diversion from reality and the seemingly endless wave of creativity and freedom they bring. Yet, the amount of information and experiences you can learn about from the real world make it feel so globally connected. I always wanted to be a person that connected people, and now that it is easier than ever to participate, I see no reason to not do that.

And now, with the experience and connections I have, I want to create a community and culture that has fun and can be whoever they want to be. From now on, each project and obstacle will be a step towards my goal. I hope to be able to share this experience with others or contribute to others making the same steps in the future.
